This class teaches students how to apply techniques in a hands-on way.
The children’s sparring class is conducted in a controlled environment. Students wear light, protective fight gear from head to toe and learn to spar and respect their opponents. The goal is to have fun while learning self-defense.
During each session, the class is broken up into two parts. During the first half, students learn techniques and drills, and in the second half, they practice controlled sparring. Students also prepare to compete in karate tournaments if this is one of their goals.
Karate tournaments are a fun way to test one's ability while meeting kids from different studios from the local area and all over the U.S.A.
Students will learn techniques on how to fight and apply what they learn through drills and sparring. All sparring takes place in a controlled environment where each student spars at their appropriate levels and the levels that he or she agree upon.
Students always practice sparring wearing light protective fighting gear from head to toe.
The methods used to facilitate this class are intended to be fun while being very hands-on.
This class also prepares students for karate tournaments which are a great way to test the students' ability in a competitive arena. Tournaments can take place in your hometown or anywhere across the states . . . all the way to competing internationally.
